1. Why are your prices lower than in U.S.?
A. The medication in Canada is less expensive than in U.S. for a number of reasons. The Canadian government regulates what pharmaceutical companies can charge. Additionally, the Canadian dollar conversion rate is very attractive to the U.S. dollar.

2. Do I need a prescription?

4. What is the difference between a Brand name medication and a Generic medication?
A. A generic drug is a medication for which the original manufacturer has lost patent protection. The generic drug is the exact same medication as the original brand name drug, simply made by another company. Due to strict regulations on the generic drug industry, these drugs must provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drug.

5. How large a supply of my medications can I buy?
A. You may only order as much as your U.S. Physician prescribes for you. Additionally, all prescriptions are limited to a maximum of a ninety (90) day supply.

6. Are the drugs I will receive the same quality as the drugs that I buy in the U.S.?
A. Many of the drugs you will receive from Canada will actually come from the U.S. Others are manufactured in Canada by the Canadian division of these U.S. companies. Understand that Canada, like the U.S. has exceptionally high pharmaceutical standards. All drugs (including generics) manufactured in Canada are under the most stringent Canadian government regulations.

7. Do you accept insurance plans?
A. Unfortunately, we do not currently accept U.S. insurance plans because pharmacy and doctor services are rendered in Canada.

8. How long will it take to process my order?
A. For new customers, provided accurate information is submitted and the order has been received by Best-Meds.com, approximately 14 business days are necessary (this includes order processing, doctor verification and pharmacy review as well as shipping and handling of prescription items). For existing customers this time is less than 10 days after we receive your order request. This assumes that the order request had all necessary information, requested drugs are in stock and the postal carrier delivers your order on time.

9. What information is needed so that my order will be processed as fast as possible?
A.
It depends.

If you are a new customer we’ll need from you the following:

a) Completed, signed and dated the New Patient Profile and Order Form
b) Completed, signed and dated Customer Consent Agreement page of the form
c) A copy of your Prescription.

If you are an existing customer and ordering a Refill we’ll only need a completed the Existing Patient Form to be Mailed or Faxed to us.

If you are an existing customer and ordering a New Medication we’ll only need a completed the Existing Patient Form and your New Prescription, all to be Mailed or Faxed to us.

No other information is needed unless there has been a change in your address, health, in the strengths or quantities of the medications you’re taking, or in the method of payment (in which case updated information must also be provided). Once all refills have been fulfilled, it will be necessary to provide a copy of the new refill prescription issued by your U.S. Doctor. As in the case of your initial order, a Canadian Physician will then review and approve your prescription under his or her Canadian license.

Please check "HOW TO ORDER" page for more information.

A. When ordering refills, no other information is needed unless there has been a change in your address, health, in the strengths or quantities of the medications you’re taking, or in the method of payment (in which case this information must also be provided). Just phone in for the refills, your prescriptions are not automatically sent.
Once a prescription has expired, it will be necessary to provide a copy of the new prescription issued by your U.S. doctor. As in the case of your initial order, a Canadian physician will then review and approve your prescription under his or her Canadian license.
